Paul McCartney once wrote that there are only a finite amount of chords available to an artist. These artists defy the thought that creation

of new works is an uphill battle against a finite field. It gives us, the listener, a belief that anything at all is possible when you listen to their work realizing each push the envelope a bit more than those who came before them.
